Good afternoon, blog readers.

My posting today will be short, because Ive already written a longer piece on another blog. Our Mixed Media blog (random thoughts and observations on music, movies, TV, books and more) never really got off the ground when we launched our Web site a year ago. The person who took the responsibility of writing the blog left the Times a few weeks after it started, and Ive not designated anyone to pick up the slack.

I still havent, really. Ive posted my own entry this morning. Its a look at my DVR (digital video recorder) priority list for network TV shows. Well resume Mixed Media slowly. Ill write some more posts in the coming weeks, and encourage Times staffers to join in when they have something to say about music, movies, TVs, books, video games, whatever. I suppose my wife might even join the fray at some point.
