A Monroe High School graduate will be featured in an upcoming episode of Cash Cab Chicago on the Discovery channel.
The episode featuring Joe Goltz, 35, now of Chicago, is scheduled to air at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23.
Goltz, the son of John and Linda Goltz, is a professional jazz musician who has toured extensively, including numerous trips to Europe. He is also an aspiring comedy writer, his father John reports.
If you havent see it, Cash Cab is a game show set in a taxi cab. Unsuspecting passengers get into the cab and then answer general trivia questions. If they get them correct, they win money; three wrong answers and theyre booted out of the cab even if they havent arrived at their destination.
Its pretty entertaining and Wednesdays episode should be especially fun since it features a MHS grad. (John says Joe and the two friends with him in the cab did win some money.)

Despite the importance of the high court, Wisconsin Supreme Court races often dont get the attention they deserve. Thats not the case this spring; in light of the controversy surrounding Gov. Scott Walkers budget repair bill and subsequent budget proposal, theres been a lot of interest in the race that pits incumbent justice David Prosser against challenger assistant attorney general JoAnne Kloppenburg for a seat on the states high court.
We will provide information on the race from the Associated Press as it becomes available, but to hear candidates in a live debate, tune into Wisconsin Public Television Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m. The debate will also be streamed live at WisconsinVote.org.
