DARLINGTON — The Monroe Wrestling Club had a strong performance at the 2022 Redbird Coach Hackett Memorial Classic, taking second place, on Saturday, Jan. 1. The team opened the new year with a new practice facility and uniforms.

Individual place winners were: FIRST PLACE - Xavier Folk (Boys 2015-17, 45-49lbs); Armin Grunder (Boys 2011-12, 81-88lbs); Gage Ostby (Boys 2009-10, 61-66lbs); Violet Eckdhal (Girls 2013-14, 58-63lbs); Evelyn Eckdhal (Girls 2011-12, 77-85lbs); and Althea Eckdhal (Girls 2009-10, 105-115lbs). SECOND PLACE - Dixon Starr (Boys 2013-14, 51-56lbs); Forrest Treuthardt (Boys 2011-12, 66-70lbs); Blaine Fletcher (Boys 2011-12, 68-74lbs); Connor Eckdhal (Boys 2007-08, 135-140lbs); Emily Boss (Girls 2011-12, 68-71lbs); and Addi Treuthardt (Girls 2007-08, 119-121lbs). THIRD PLACE - Kaydon Proctor (Boys 2011-12, 72-77lbs); and Ayden Folk (Boys 2009-10, 102-109lbs). FOURTH PLACE - Briggs Engelkens (Boys 2013-14, 55-57lbs); Kieran Ellingson (Boys 2013-14, 58-60lbs); Charles Pfeifer (Boys 2013-14, 60-62lbs); and Isiah Folk (Boys 2011-12, 62-68lbs).
