The Monroe Wrestling Club battled it out on the mat in two different tournaments on Sunday, Feb. 16.

Ten MWC wrestlers had some fierce competition and very large brackets to wrestle with at the Milton Monster Mash. Overall, the wrestlers fought hard and came away with some valuable learning moments. Placements were: Emily Boss 3rd; Blaine Fletcher 1st; Jaxon Gobeli DNP; Colton Ladwig 4th; Lincoln Myhre 4th; Kenneth Norton DNP; Bodhi Riese DNP; Trace Rowe 4th; Lane Severson DNP; and Dixon Starr 2nd.

Seven wrestlers grappled in Mineral Point. Placements were: Case Duff 2nd; Wyatt Speer 1st; Zander Speer 1st; Addi Treuthardt 1st; Ellie Treuthardt 2nd; Avelynn Wallin 1st; and Grayson Wallin 3rd.

The team is winding down its season with a few more big tournaments to compete in. Then it’s time for getting ready for the regional qualifier coming up on Saturday, March 22, with Youth State Wrestling the following weekend, March 28-30.
