SAUK CITY — The Monroe Wrestling Club had 15 wrestlers participate in the Sauk Prairie Youth Wrestling Tournament on Sunday, February 23.

The wrestlers are continuing to prepare for the upcoming regional qualifier in March. The Monroe Wrestling Club is a host of one of the Youth Regional Qualifiers on March 21 at the Monroe High School.

Individual results

In the 2007-2008 Bracket: Eli Salzwedel (77-81 lbs) third place; Garrett Minder (84-92 lbs) second place; and Payton Weckerly (94-98 lbs) third place. 

In the 2009-2010 Bracket: Gage Ostby (55-60 lbs) third place; Noah Schuh (63-66 lbs) second place; Patrick Harms (91-98 lbs) fourth place; Wyatt Weckerly (97-98 lbs) fourth place; Joah Wellman (102-104 lbs) third place; and Connor Swindle (160-175 lbs) first place. 

In the 2011-2012 Bracket: Abram Homb (55-56 lbs) first place; Gabrielle Harms (58-59 lbs) fourth place; and Briggs Hoesly (64-65 lbs) fourth place. 

In the 2013-2014 Bracket: Colton Ladwig (39-41 lbs) third place; Briggs Engelkens (39-42 lbs) fourth place; and Jaxon Gobeli (50-51 lbs) fourth place.

Competing at the Waterford Youth Wrestling Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 23 was Carson Menehan (Grades 7-8, 98-106 lbs) where he took first place.
