MONROE — On Thursday, June 2, the Monroe Wrestling Club dedicated a memorial park bench in honor of the late Gabrielle Breadon.
The Breadon family has been a constant support to the Monroe Wrestling Club, and the club felt this was the best way to show its appreciation to the family.
The park bench is located at Recreation Park near the entrance to the left of the flagpole. The bench overlooks the main pool — a very special place to the Breadon family.
The Monroe Wrestling Club also presented scholarships to three deserving Monroe High School seniors who have been part of the wrestling program. The 2021-2022 MWC Scholarship recipients are Jace Amacher, Ryan Holst, and Brady Schuh.
Amacher will be attending Loras College in Dubuque to study business and play football. Holst will be going for his electrician apprenticeship. Schuh will be attending UW-Parkside to study business and continue his wrestling career.
