SAUK PRAIRIE — The Monroe boys tennis team finished their Badger Conference schedule with a 5-2 win over Sauk Prairie on Tuesday, May 9. The Cheesemakers’ only conference losses were Oregon (7-0) and Edgewood (5-2).

With the win, Monroe improved to 13-2 overall headed into the post-season. Before that, though, the Cheesemakers prepare with a tough Division 1 Mukwonago team.

“Monday [May 15], we see an incredibly strong Division 1 team in Mukwonago, which will be a really great look for our team playing against some of the stronger players in the state,” Monroe head coach Matt Bordner said. “We are gearing up for the conference tournament which begins next Friday [May 19] at Nielsen Stadium. The competition will be intense, and we are hoping to get some guys advanced onto day two of the tournament.”
