WRESTLING: Area teams fight their conference

MARSHALL - Kalvin York took first place in the 145 weight class as Sugar River (112 points) came in sixth place of the Capitol Conference's 10-team tournament.

Ricky Ace (112) and Matt Saunders (130) finished in second place. Mike Nolden (171), Brooks Hendrickson (119), and Dan Nolden (152) each took fourth place.

Lodi won the meet with 307 points.

Rock Valley

JEFFERSON - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team finished in fifth place with 231 points in the 11-team meet.

Josh Mchoes (103), Jeremy Rosheisen (125) and Ethan Voights (160) each took third place for the Cardinals.

Casey Lanham (112), Mitchel Wieseneberg (119) and Ben Conway (171) all finished in fourth place.

Evansville-Albany won the meet with 332 points.

SWAL/SWC Conference Clash

RICHLAND CENTER - Darlington finished 10th as a team at the SWAL-SWC conference meet.

Devin Malott took second place in the 119 pound division. He lost by major decision to Cuba City-Southwestern's Jarod Donar, 10-0.

Dylan McGuire (152) finished in third place.

Mineral Point won the meet with 314 points.

Scenic Ridge & Rivers conference

CAZENOVIA - Black Hawk finished in ninth place with 57.5 points and Pecatonica-Argyle came in 11th with 47.5 points.

Jordan Luhman (160) came in third place, picking up a pin over River Ridge-Cassville's Isaac Morgan in the first round and an injury default over Brookwood's Eric Flock in the third place match.

The Warriors' Dusty Weber (125), Grant Roeper (152) and Carl Rueggsegger (215) each finished in fourth place.

The Vikings' Riley Sigg finished in fourth place in the 171 weight class division.

New Lisbon won the meet with 218 points.
