BELLEVILLE - The Monroe Mat Rats had a great turn out at the Belleville Tournament, despite sketchy weather for the day.
In the K-2 Bracket, first place finishes went to Jack Dubach and Luke Dubach while Brady Schuh and Brock Hummel were second. Corbin Mann was third and Bryce Gersbach fourth.
In the third and fourth grade brackets, Alex Witt and Gabe Witt received first place honors. Second places went to Bodie Minder and Kyle Gilbertson. Third places went to Garrett Grossen, Patrick Rielly, and Aidan Sweeney. Brady Whilhite received fourth.
In the fifth and sixth grade brackets first place went to Cole Murray. Drake Ingold, Dempzy Foley, and Parker Ingold received second place honors and third place went to Sam Kind.
In the seventh and eighth grade brackets, Traiten Gorr was first and McKenzy Foley was second.
The Mat Rats will be heading to Verona March 6, gearing up for regionals March 12.
