MONROE - A snowstorm forced the cancellation or postponement of many area high school athletic events Friday and today.

The Monroe High School boys basketball home game against Oregon was postponed to Jan. 17.

No make-up date has been set yet for the Monroe wrestling match at Stoughton. The Richland Center Invitational was cancelled.

The Monroe co-op hockey team's game at Waunakee was canceled.

The Monroe girls basketball team will try to add a game to make up for Saturday's game scheduled for againt Dubuque Wahlert

Two area girls basketball games have been rescheduled for Jan. 9: Juda at Pecatonica and Barneveld at Albany.
