BELMONT - Black Hawk's Hayden Schliem continued his impressive season at wide receiver on Friday with the game-winning 4-yard touchdown reception off the arm of Merik Meythaler in double overtime.

The 34-28 win marks a pleasing win for the Warriors (4-1), which had let a 20-6 lead slip away after three straight Belmont scores.

The Braves also had 387 rushing yards to just 182 off Black Hawk, and had 390 total yards of offense to the Warriors' 347. Belmont also had 20 first downs to just 19 for the Warriors.

Meythaler opened the scoring with a 1-yard run in the first quarter and later added a pair of TD passes to Schliem to make it 20-6 in the frame. Belmont took a 28-20 lead in the third, only for Black Hawk's Deejay Warrell to score on a fumble return that tied it up at 28.

Jace Johnsrud had 124 rushing yards for the Warriors and Schliem had seven total receptions for 67 yards.

Brodhead-Juda 43, Orfordville Parkview 6

ORFORDVILLE - Jesse DeLorme had 208 rushing yards and three touchdown runs as the Cardinals took care of business for the second straight week.

Brodhead-Juda (3-2) also picked up two rushing scores from Jaron Harding, who had 112, and another from Trent Jordan on a 47-yard TD catch.

The Cardinals hardly needed quarterback David Earleywine to make any plays, as the senior completed just three passes for 76 yards. Instead, Brodhead-Juda rumbled for 406 rushing yards, and the stingy defense held Parkview to just 190 total yards.

Darlington 42, Boscobel 0

BOSCOBEL - Zach McArthur was 5 for 9 passing for 49 yards but connected with receivers for four touchdowns.

Seth Rowe had a touchdown and 133 rushing yards on 19 carries for Darlington (3-2), which has won three straight games.

The Redbirds had 343 rushing yards and 392 total yards of offense, to just 33 for Boscobel.

Potosi 35, Pecatonica-Argyle 7

POTOSI - The Vikings stopped the running clock in the fourth quarter, thanks to a 20-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by Kyle Zwicker. Otherwise, Friday's game was all about the Chieftains.

Jon Hendrickson was 12 of 26 for 119 passing yards and an interception. Alec Treuthardt led the Vikings with 11 rushing yards on five carries.

Potosi held Pec-Argyle to just 2 positive rushing yards on 24 attempts. Meanwhile, the Chieftains barreled around the gridiron for 260 yards on the ground.

In other area action, Waterloo defeated Belleville-Albany 39-10.
