The nominations for the Times Athlete of the Week are as followed:

Monroe

Kelsey Erickson and Brooke McBain: The Cheesemakers' No. 1 doubles team won four matches last week and went 3-0 at the Beaver Dam Quad. The No. 1 doubles duo helped the Cheesemakers win the Beaver Dam Quad.

Kelli Isaj: The senior scored two goals in a 3-2 win over Sauk Prairie Sept. 26.

Alyssa Quinn: The senior No. 4 singles player went 4-0 last week and helped the Cheesemakers win the Beaver Dam Quad.

Area Boys Athletes of the Week

Tyler Dorn, New Glarus-Monticello: The senior running back rushed for 272 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Knights' 28-6 win over Iowa-Grant.

Seth Rowe: The junior fullback rushed for 108 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Redbirds' season-opening 40-7 win over Platteville.

Tucker Wiegel, Darlington: The senior running back rushed for 95 yards, scored two touchdowns and had an interception in the Redbirds' 40-7 win over Platteville.

Area Girls

Meg Duffield, Brodhead-Juda: The freshman won the 4K at the season-opening Brodhead-Juda Invitational. Duffield won her first varsity race with a time of 17 minutes, 18 seconds.

Courtney Pfeuti, Albany: The senior setter had 59 assists in the final three matches at the Six Rivers volleyball tournament. Pfeuti helped set up ALbany's hitters as the Comets went 4-0 to win the tournament.

Sydney Bump: The senior had 34 kills during the Six Rivers tournament and helped the Comets win the championship. Bump also had 29 kills in two matches at the Madison Abundant Life Quad Aug. 26.
