Kevin Frint, Boys Basketball: The senior scored 19 points in a 56-37 win over Darlington. He scored 16 points in a 42-41 win over Monona Grove that helped the Cheesemakers seal an outright badger South Conference championship. It's the fourth straight title for Monroe.
Ashley Hermanson, Girls Basketball: The senior scored eight points in a 47-32 loss to Verona. She followed that up by scoring 14 points in a 42-27 win over Fort Atkinson to help the Cheesemakers win an outright conference championship. Monroe has won seven straight conference titles.
Kevin Klopfenstein, Wrestling: The freshman set a school record with 40 wins and was the first freshman to qualify for state since Steve Grossen in 1984.

Colton Carpenter, Darlington Basketball: Carpenter scored 16 points to spark the Redbirds to a 63-53 win over top ranked Cuba City. He scored 10 of his 16 points in the last eight minutes.
Ben Schmitt, Sugar River Wrestling: The senior finished 38-1 and took third place at the WIAA Division 2 state wrestling tournament.
Devin Malott, Darlington Wrestling: The senior who owns records for the most wins, most pins and is the school's first four-time state qualifer, took fifth place at 119 pounds at the WIAA Division 3 state tournament.
Area Girls
Ashley Martin, Darlington Basketball: The senior scored 22 points in a 66-58 win over Pecatonica. She had 10 points in a loss to Cuba City.
Rachel Rygh, Black Hawk Basketball: The junior scored 14 points in a 46-44 win over River Ridge. She followed that up by scoring 10 points in a 61-13 win over Albany.
Becky Nelson, Monticello Basketball: Nelson scored 14 points in a 44-31 win over Argyle.
