MONROE - The Monroe U 14 boys Rebel Scorpions rounded out their fall season on Saturday with a 4-0 win against Stoughton at Honey Creek.
With this win and McFarland's loss to Dodgeville, Monroe clinched the division title remaining unbeaten.
The Scorpions started brightly and went ahead inside two minutes. Nick Baumann slid a pass to Silas Setterstrom who fired in from 12 yards. The same duo combined again three minutes later, with the same result to put the Rebels 2-0 ahead.
A melee in the Stoughton box on 27th minute led to the third goal. The ball broke to Konner Helmeid who tucked away the chance for his first ever goal.
Baumann wrapped up the scoring on 46 minutes with a fine drive from 22-yards.
As ever the defense was superbly marshaled by Mohammad Assaf and Dominick Curtiss.
