U12 Rebels defend home field

MONROE - The U12 Rebel girls soccer team defeated Edgerton 8-1 on Saturday.

Allison O'Brien scored a goal at the end of the first half to give Monroe a 1-0 lead. Emily Benzschawel had two saves as the goal keeper. Morgan Seffrood had two saves in the second half.

The girls really turned up the heat in the second half with two gaols scored by Olvia Werth, two goals scored by Kennedy Ludwig with one assisted by Alexa Bader. Alexa Bader scored two goals and Ally Einbeck scored one. Einbeck scored three goals including two in the second half.

Monroe on SUnday beat Evansville in the rain 6-1 on Sunday.

Werth scored three of Monroe's four first half. Benzschawel also had one goal and assist in the first half to lead Monroe.

Seffrood had five saves as goalie. In the second half, Megan Benzschawel took over goal keeping duties and had three saves. Seffrood and Ludwig each assisted on Einbeck's goals in the second half.
