MONROE - The Monroe U12 Mystic girls soccer team stayed unbeaten with a 3-1 win over the Middleton Strikers on the road on Sunday.
The Mystics got goals from Marlies Brandli, Kyla Ziolkowski and Maddie Wels. Both goalies Marissa Vosberg and Lydia Butler played strong. Monroe is 3-0 on season with home game at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at the MTX field.
The Mystic U12 girls team won both its games the weekend of April 16. The Mystics opened the season with a 3-0 win over New Glarus April 16. Goals were scored by Ziolkowski, Butler and Taylor Jacobson. First-half goalie Vosberg had five saves and second-half goalie Amy Wuethrich had four saves. On April 17, Monroe's only goal came from Butler, but the Mystics beat the Madison Magic soccer club 1-0. First-half goalie Vosberg had saves and second-half goalie Brandli also had five saves.
