MONROE - After losing three close games at the MAYSA Cup last weekend, the Monroe U10 girls team beat Oregon 4-2 on Saturday, May 19 and played a scoreless game in Platteville on May 20.
During the Oregon game Anika Einbeck scored the first goal while Karlye Mazahreh-Disch and Megan Benzschawel had two saves each as goalie during the first half making it 1-1. Mazahreh-Disch came out in the second half and scored right away. Kayleigh Nesbitt scored the next goal to give the Rebels a 3-2 lead.
Benzschawel had four more saves as the goal keeper and she scored the final goal. The U10 girls have this weekend off, but will look forward to playing there next game at home on June 2.
