MONROE - The Monroe Rebels U-14 Scorpions started their soccer season with a 7-1 smashing of Baraboo in the rain on Saturday, April 18.
James Frankowski and Jonah Antos scored in the first half, with Dusty Burkhalter and Antos each recording assists. Baraboo scored as the first half whistle was blown, to trim the Monroe lead to 2-1.
In the second half, the Scorpions exploded, scoring five unanswered goals.
Frankowski scored a second goal and Blake Duffy and Mitchel Hasse each scored two for the Scorpions. Burkhalter recorded two more assists.
Ben Prophett registered three saves in the second half, and teammate Colin Vestin had four in the first half for Monroe.
