MONROE - Two Monroe boys soccer players received Badger South All-Conference honors recently.
Both Monroe sophomore Nick Schumacher and senior Jacob Ritschard were named honorable mention all-conference. Schumacher was named honorable mention all-conference as a midfielder and Ritschard was honorable mention as a defender. Schumacher scored 12 goals to lead the Cheesemakers this year.
Monroe finished the season 7-10-1. The Cheesemakers defeated Lodi 2-1 in a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal. McFarland knocked off Monroe 5-1 in a regional championship game.
The Cheesemakers had six freshman and sophomores playing significant time this season.
