MONROE - Three Monroe High School boys basketball players received Badger South All-Conference honors recently.
Senior Alex Tordoff, who averaged 15.8 points per game, was named to the first team, senior Carter Sawdey (11.5 ppg) was placed on the second team, and junior Brayden Zettle (10 ppg) received honorable mention.
Monroe finished the season 11-13 and fourth in the Badger South Conference with a 5-7 mark. The Cheesemakers lost 61-33 to Waunakee in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal game.
Conference champion Stoughton had four all-conference players, led by junior Jordan DiBenedetto, a first-team honoree.
Madison Edgewood senior Alex Arians was named the Badger South Conference Player of the Year and was named first-team all-conference. Edgewood junior Mandela Deang and Monona Grove junior Jake Schroeckentlaer were also named first-team all-conference.
