Three schools take part at UWP indoor invite

PLATTEVILLE - Several athletes turned in top performances at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville small school Invitational Thursday.

Pecatonica-Argyle's Lucas Stoehr won the 400-meter dash (:53.90) and took second in the 200 (:24.67).

Monticello senior Reid Zanoya won the long jump (19 feet, 3 3/4 inches) and was second in the 400 (:54.62).

Pecatonica-Argyle junior Wyatt Massey finished first in the 800 (2:09.52). Albany junior Reece Whitehead finished third in the 1,600 (5:02.68).

The Vikings had a strong finish in the distance relays. The Vikings' 1,600 relay team finished first (3:45.54) and the Vikings' 3,200 relay team also took first (9:07.09).

In the girls invite, Albany freshman Bailey Hlavachek finished first in the 1,600 (6:00.20) and third in the 800 (2:39.46).

Pecatonica-Argyle's Reba Hefty took fourth in the shot put (31-0 1/4). Albany's 1,600 relay team finished third with a time of 4:45.10.
