MONROE - The WWF Kids State Folkstyle State Championships are today and tomorrow at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum Alliant Energy Center in Madison. State championship participants qualify for this event by placing in the top two in their respective age and weight division at any of the eight qualifier tournaments that were held March 17.
The qualifying wrestlers who placed in the top two in their respective age and weight division at the regional qualifier March 17 in Stoughton were Joah Wellman, 2009-10, 85 pounds; Chelsey Gilbert, 2006-08, 150 or over pounds; and Jack Dubach, 2005-06, 91 pounds.
Other Mat Rat wrestlers who also wrestled in the regional qualifier were Jace Amacher, Patrick Harms, Jaden Leistiko, Carson Menehan, Garrett Minder, Brady Schuh, Christian Schuh, Noah Schuh, Garret Voegeli and Owen Voegeli.
