MONROE - Several tennis programs are being offered this summer through the Monroe Parks and Recreation department.

Tennis lessons are held Monday through Friday at the Recreation Park tennis courts for first grade through high school. The next session will be Monday, July 16 through Friday, July 27.

There are four tennis clinics being held at Recreation Park tennis courts for youth entering eighth through twelfth grade.

Participants must have played in the tennis leagues. Clinics include: Serves and Overhead Clinics running from Monday, July 9 through Friday, July 13; Singles Strategy Clinic running from Monday, July 16 through Friday, July 20; and Doubles Strategy Clinic running from Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27. All clinics will run from 11 a.m. to noon.

High school/coed tennis camps for intermediate/advanced girls and boys will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26 at Recreation Park Tennis Courts.

Tennis camp for fifth- through eighth-graders will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 30 through Thursday, Aug. 2 at Recreation Park tennis courts.
