Ten Knights garner awards

Times photo: Anthony Wahl New Glarus-Monticello Knights Gabe Noyce was named the Capitol South Conference Offensive Player of the Year recetnly. Noyce was also named first team all-conference at quarterback and second team as a specialist. He was one of 10 Knights players honored.
NEW GLARUS - There were 10 New Glarus-Monticello football players honored by the Capitol South Conference.

New Glarus-Monticello senior Gabe Noyce was named the Capitol South Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Noyce, who passed for 578 yards and seven touchdowns and rushed for 463 yards and scored nine touchdowns, also was named first team all-conference at quarterback and as a specialist.

New Glarus-Monticello senior Aaron Hefty was named first team all-conference as an offensive linemen and inside linebacker. Senior defensive linemen Jake Lynch, junior Patrick Elzen at defensive back and junior defensive end Josh Kolasch were also named first team all-conference.

Junior Jim Chenoweth was named second team as a running back and defensive back. The other second team all-conference players on offense were senior running back Spencer Jones, senior wide receiver Jesse Halvorsen and senior Lukas Bright on the offensive line. Junior Kelvin Johnson was named second team as an outside linebacker. Jones was named honorable mention all-conference at inside linebacker.
