NEW GLARUS - The Sugar River swim team won just about every relay en route to conquering the Heidi Festival meet on Saturday.

Sugar River won the meet (775 points) ahead of second place Monroe (436) and Belleville (238).

Sugar River's Amanda George, 8, won the girls 8 and younger 50-meter butterfly (42.03), 25 backstroke (23.67) and 25 breaststroke (24.02).

Ellie Eichelkraut, 8, of New Glarus, won the 25 freestyle (19.91), 25 butterfly (25.79) and was a part of two winning relays. Eichelkraut teamed with Karley Michels, Amanda George and Sammie Schiro to win the 100 medley relay (1:35.79), as well as with Michels, Morgan Erstad and George to win the 100 freestyle relay (1:28.85). Michels added a first place finish in the 100 IM (1:55.86).

In the boys 8 and younger division, Sugar River's Eli Zimmerman finished first in the 25 freestyle (19.22), 25 butterfly (22.21) and 100 IM (1:38.70). Sugar River's Mason Yaun, Breckyn Thompson, Jacob Piper and Eli Zimmerman finished first in the 100 freestyle relay (2:00.08). Eli Zimmerman teamed with Silas Leuthner and Jack Douma to win the 100 medley relay (2:21.46). Piper finished first in the 25 backstroke (36.73). Yaun added a first place finish in the 50 freestyle (1:04.43).

Monroe's Hannah Swenson won the 50 backstroke (47.29), 50 butterfly (52.60) and 100 IM (1:40.28). Francesca Schiro won the 9-10 girls 50 breaststroke (51.66) and was on the winning 200 freestyle relay team with Karstyn Rossing, Shealyn Klosterman-Havens and Zoe Moen. They won the race with a time of 3:29.08.

Monroe's 200 medley relay team of Swenson, Kayla Ferguson, Kayleigh Nesbitt and Jeanette Ackerman won with a time of 3:46.34. Nesbitt also won the 100 freestyle (1:40.66). Sugar River's Megan Bellefeuille, 10, took first in the 50 freestyle (50.05).

Sugar River's Charlie Douma, 10, finished first in the 9-10 boys 50 butterfly (59.87) and 100 freestyle (1:44.66). Sugar River's Mason Thompson, 9, took first in the 50 backstroke (54.12), 50 freestyle (42.15) and 100 IM (2:01.17). In the boys, 9-10 relay, Douma, Breckin Faber, Darris Schuett and Thompson took first (3:12.64). Faber teamed with Luke Brecklin, Thompson and Mason Martinson to take first in the 9-10 boys 200 medley relay (4:06.31). Sugar River's Charlie Tollefson won the 50 breaststroke (1:00.77).

Sugar River's 11-12 girls 200 freestyle relay team of Caitlin Wieser, Callie Lahey, Emily Streiff and Willow Lee took first (3:02.51). Lee added a first place in the 50 backstroke (48.14).

Streiff, Wieser and Lahey teamed with Nina Schiro to take first in the 200 medley relay (3:21.79). Monroe's Emily Meritt, 11, finished first in the 50 breaststroke (54.79) by about three seconds. Willow added a first place finish in the 100 freestyle (1:25.24). Sugar River's Savannah Brandt took first in the 50 butterfly (41.26) and Nina Schiro took first in the 50 freestyle (36.21) and 100 IM (1:30.41).

The Sugar River 11-12 boys 200 freestyle relay team of Zachery Frick, Cullen Brooks, Noah Zimmerman and Christopher George took first (2:35.26). The same quartet also won the 200 medley relay (3:05.27). Sugar River's Christopher George finished first place in the 50 breaststroke (47.77), 100 freestyle (1:10.85) and 50 backstroke (43.21). Noah Zimmerman took first in the 50 butterfly (42.85), 50 freestyle (34.25) and 100 IM (1:36.92).

Sugar River's Anna Wolf won the 13-14 girls 50 butterfly (35.23), 50 backstroke (38.86) and 100 freestyle (1:09.15). Reagan Andersen took first in the 13-14 girls 50 breaststroke (45.39). Andersen teamed with Haley Reeson, Grace Tollefson and Wolf to win the 13-14 girls 200 freestyle relay (2:20.07). Andersen, Reeson and Wolf teamed with Bridget Craker to take the top spot in the 200 medley relay (3:11.74). Monroe's Anna Meritt won the 50 freestyle (33.10).

Brandon Winder, 13, won the 13-14 boys 50 breaststroke (49.85) and 50 butterfly (55.52). Max Hoffmaster, 13, won the 50 backstroke (42.95) and the 50 freestyle (33.54).

Brittney Wilcox, 17, won the 15-18 girls 50 backstroke (44.96) and 50 freestyle (37.37). Electa Williams, 15, finished first in the 15-18 girls 50 breaststroke (49.85).
