Squirt A team posts 2 wins

MONROE - On Sunday, Nov. 25, the Avalanche Squirt A team traveled to Madison to take on the Polar Caps and then to Janesville. The Avalanche dominated the game and shut out the Polar Caps 11-0.

Scoring for the Avalanche were Luke Kuberski (two goals), Broc Kuberski (two goals), Tessa Janecke (two goals), Payton Stauffacher (two goals), Hayden Roth, Roman Bauer and Cade Janecke.

Earning assists were Tessa Janecke, Cade Janecke (two), Stauffacher (two), Luke Kuberski and Roth.

The defensive line performed well and kept the Polar Caps at bay. The Avalanche offensive line had 30 shots on goal. Goalie Heath Bear earned the shut out.

In the second game against the Janesville Squirt B team, the Avalanche got out to an early 3-0 lead at the end of the second period. Janesville scored one goal and the Avalanche answered with two more, winning 5-1.

Scoring for the Avalanche (5-3) were Luke Kuberski, Cade Janecke, Roth, Tessa Janecke and Broc Kuberski. Earning assists were Alyssa Knauf (two), Stauffacher, Tessa Janecke, Cade Janecke and Roth.

U12 Girls drop two

The Avalanche U12 Girls team traveled to Baraboo Sunday to take on the U12 Badger Lighting. At the end of the second period, the score was tied at 4. The Avalanche ran out of steam and lost 7-5.

Goalie Sarah Nicholas recorded 18 saves. Scoring for the Avalanche were Anika Einbeck (two), Tessa Janecke (two) and Alyssa Knauf.

Assisting on goals were Knauf and Tessa Janecke. Goalie Sarah Nicholas recorded 18 saves.

In the second game, the Avalanche took the lead at the end of the second period 2-1. However, the Badger Lighting scored two, winning 3-2. Tessa Janecke scored both goals for the Avalanche, with an assist from Ava Lothes.

Squirt B take two

On Saturday, the Avalanche Squirt B hosted Dodgeville 3 and won 4-3.

Scoring for the Avalanche were Colton O'Connor, Brady Smith, Ethan Williams and Kendall Wild. Earning assists were Bryce Montgomery, Ethan Williams, Alvin Buholzer and Brady Smith.

Goalie Ty O'Connor recorded six saves. The Avalanche recorded 26 shots on goal.

The Avalanche later traveled to Verona to take on Southwest 1 on Sunday. The Avalanche took the lead and won 2-1. Lighting the lamp for the Avalanche (5-3) were Kaiden Klitzke and Williams (assisted by Ryan Molitor).

Goalie Aiden Runkle recorded 16 saves.

The Avalanche have won five straight games.

Mite White and Blue

The Mite White team traveled to Oregon on Sunday and played three games against Oregon White, losing 4-0 and 6-0 in the first two games. The Avalanche found their footing in the third game but lost 4-3. Scoring for the Avalanche were Anna Malone, Blaze Janecke and Lilah Bauer. Wyatt Janecke earned an assist.

The Mite Blue played two games at SLICE, winning the first against Waunakee, 6-4. Scoring goals were Cash Anderson (three goals), Seth Brandt (two) and Mack Massingill.

The Mite Blue fell to Janesville in the second game, 8-3. Anderson had two goals and Brandt added one.
