McFarland's Megan Glasbrenner scored a goal on a penalty kick 3 minutes into the second half to give the Spartans a 3-1 lead. The penalty kick was awarded due to a hand ball.

It gave them a two goal lead, but those things happen," O'Neill said. "Nothing could have been done about it."
