BELLEVILLE - The Sugar River Raiders edged Columbus 2-1 Tuesday night.
Jon Fox scored in the 28th minute with an assist by Erik Ellenberger to put the Raiders up early.
Ellenberger scored at the 69:22 mark to put Sugar River ahead 2-0. Columbus scored just over a minute later, but the game got no closer than that.
Junior goalkeeper Eric Liegel had seven saves for the Raiders, who next host Mount Horeb Thursday night.
The junior varsity team won 4-3.
Milton 7, Monroe 1>
Offense was hard to come by for the Cheesemakers Tuesday night at Milton.
The Red Hawks scored three first-half goals and added four more in the second half for the 7-1 Badger South Conference victory.
Godi Brandli scored Monroe's only goal in the 18th minute of the first half. Cheesemakers goalkeeper Dan Becker had nine saves.
