MONROE - More than 60 participants competed in the Monroe Optimist Tri-Star Pass, Shoot and Dribble contest Sunday at the Green County YMCA.

The annual event is designed to test the basketball skills of boys and girls, age 6 to 13. The participants completed three stations including shooting, a dribbling station around cones and a passing station that required them to hit a target with chest passes and bounce passes.

Carson Leuzinger, 9, won the Mo Sathoff Memorial award for the highest score for the second straight year. Leuzinger had a high-score of 162 and made all six of his shots and was successful with each pass. Leuzinger, along with nine other participants who won their age group, received trophies and will advance to a competition in Mukwonago April 13.
