VERONA - For the second time this season, Verona didn't let Monroe finish what it set out to do.
The Brewers lost, 15-4, to Verona in a Western Section Home Talent game Sunday afternoon.
Fours were wild for Matt Peetz, who pounded out four hits, scored four runs and drove in four more. He also slugged a three-run bomb in the sixth inning.
Hollandale 4, Dodgeville 3 (11 innings)
Scott Garthwaite gave the Rockies faithful some bonus baseball and his teammates cashed in two innings later.
Garthwaite drove in Cory Kelly with a single in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at 3 and Jason Gordon scored the winner in the 11th on a base knock by Scott Norton.
Blanchardville 10, Wiota 7
The Bullets locked onto their target in the seventh inning of a victory in Wiota Sunday.
Aaron Olson drove in four runs and Adam Hughes added a 2-run double in a four-run rally after the seventh-inning stretch for Blanchardville. Merrill Brunson clocked a three-run homer for Wiota in the losing effort.
New Glarus 5, Ridgeway 3
Kyle Spurley sparked for the Tourists in win at home.
The New Glarus ace allowed one run on three hits and struck out 11 batters. Sean Leary and Corey Wirth both had two-run doubles in the seventh inning for the Tourists.

The Marlins put up the sort of whooping that their MLB namesake suffered at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays recently.
Argyle's Ben Wallace had two hits and four RBIs and the Marlins coaxed 10 walks to win in five innings.
