MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is taking registration for third-, fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade basketball.
The boy's and girl's leagues will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Mondays after school beginning Jan. 10. All games and practices will be held at Northside School. Participants will work on their basketball skills, fun drills and play games. The season will end Feb. 21.
The cost to participate is $19, which includes a T-shirt. Registration forms are available at the Parks and Recreation Department.
Registration ends Jan. 7.
The Parks and Recreation office is located in the basement of City Hall. The mailing address is 1110 18th Ave., Monroe. Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is a drop box outside the office.
