FENNIMORE - In their conference meet, the Darlington boys track squad was in dominant form, as they won the meet 187.5, over Cuba City (124) and host Fennimore (98).
Collecting individual titles were Dane Siegenthaler in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 9.43 seconds. Conner Hackett finished second. Redbirds senior Tyson Miehe set a new meet record in the 1,600 with a time of 4:26.46. Siegenthaler finished third. Miehe also took the top spot in the 3,200 (9:59.15). Senior Kyle Johnson finished first in the 110 and 300 hurdles, with times of 16.82 and 44.24 seconds, respectively. Cruz Bahena won the boys shot put with a throw of 45 feet, 2 inches. A.J. Coulthard won the discus with a throw of 135-3. Finishing out the individual titles was the boys 3,200 relay team, who won the event in 8:22.76.
Second-place finishes for the boys squad include: Conner Hackett (800), Jaden Komprood (3,200), Tomas Zander (300 hurdles), Brett Erickson (shot put), Zach Wolf (discus) and the 400, 800 and 1,600 relay teams. Third-place finishers include: Kade Carey (200), Thomas Schultz (800), and Siegenthaler (1,600).
The Darlington girls squad finished third in the team standings with 101.5 points. Cuba City (187) and Boscobel (119) finished first and second, respectively.
Picking up individual titles in the 400 and pole vault was sophomore Carly Langkamp. In the 400, Langkamp won with a time of 1:01.11, while in the pole vault she finished with a height of 8-9. The relay team of Langkamp, Shannon McDaniel, Carly Reilly and Johanna Meister won the 1,600 relay with a time of 4:18.19. Langkamp and Meister, along with Claire Cullen and Paige Schilling, went on to help the 3,200 relay team win their event with a time of 10:16.47.
