MUSCODA - The Redbirds tied the game at 4-4 in the seventh inning, then scored two more runs in the eighth inning to grab a 6-4 win over Riverdale Tuesday and stay undefeated in the SWAL.
Darlington benefitted from seven Riverdale errors, resulting in five unearned runs. Junior Colton Hackett went 3-for-4 and senior Jason Boll added a double to pace the Redbirds.
Darlington (4-0, 2-0 SWAL) will travel to Pecatonica Thursday for a non-conference game.

LODI - Jeremy Landes tossed a three-hit shutout Tuesday, sending the Glarner Knights to their third straight loss to open the season. Landes scattered three hits, struck out 10 and didn't walk a batter.
Seniors Ryan Bright and Nick Stuessy, and junior Kirbe French were to only players to reach base for New Glarus.
Stuessy took the loss on the hill, going five innings and giving up six runs on five hits. He walked three and struck out three.
New Glarus (0-3, 0-1 Capitol South) will host Lakeside Lutheran in a non-conference game on Friday.
whitewater 11, brodhead-juda 10
WHITEWATER - The Cardinals scored five runs in extra innings, but it wasn't enough as the Whitewater Whippets edged Brodhead-Juda 11-10 in 10 innings Tuesday.
The game went into extra innings tied 5-5 when the Cardinals scored three times in the ninth inning only to see the Whippets tie it at 8-8 with three runs in the bottom of the ninth.
The Cardinals took a 10-8 lead with two runs in the 10th, but the Whippets countered with three runs in the bottom of the inning to win it.
Senior Jacob Covert led the way for the Cardinals, going 4-for-7 with a double. Senior Aaron Duecker also had a double while going 3-for-7. Brodhead-Juda was aided by six Whitewater errors and 14 walks.
Brodhead-Juda will travel to Beloit Turner for their next game on Saturday.
