Redbirds conduct a rather Cheesy exhibition

FENNIMORE - Perhaps some of the Lady Redbirds were in attendance and taking notes at Thursday's Lady Cheesemakers game.

Darlington (10-5, 7-3 SWAL) put on a free-throw shooting clinic Saturday in a 47-37 girls basketball win over conference rival Fennimore.

The Lady Redbirds came up a bullseye short of Monroe's 20-23 clip at 19-for-23, while the Eagles hit 17 of their 27 tries.

Point guard Kari Blosch led the Redbirds with 17 points and the squad's defense was exceptional in a 10-2 third quarter that all but put things away.
