Youth signup available for Dodging for Cancer tournament

BLANCHARDVILLE — The Pecatonica Booster Club is holding a youth dodgeball tournament for students grades 1-8 Oct. 20 at Pecatonica High School. Registration is due by Oct. 15.

Through the event, the booster club hopes to bring cancer awareness to area youth, with 100 percent of entry fees being donated to a local family battling cancer or to the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.

Cost is $40 per team, with minimum seven players to start a game. There will be six divisions in all, with seventh- through eighth-graders playing from 9 to 11 a.m., first- through third-graders from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and fourth- through sixth-graders from 1 to 3 p.m. Grades 1 through 5 must have an adult team captain at all games. A concession stand will be available throughout the day.
