Total Body Fitness to start May 6

Onalee Marx takes up a floor exercise in a Total Body Fitness class through the Parks & Recreation Department.

MONROE — Total Body Fitness class for adults begins a new 13-week session Monday, May 6 with instructor Shannan Kaiser. 

This fitness class meets from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Behring Senior Center. Monday classes focus on functional training to assist in performing activities of daily life safely and more efficiently. These high and low impact exercises simulate everyday movements and target core strength using body weight and/or a variety of equipment. 

Wednesdays will be calorie burning cardio circuits which combine cardio and strength exercises to develop muscle endurance, improve cardiovascular ability and burn calories. Moderate to high intensity level with modifications available. 

Exercisers are welcome to come try a class or two at no charge.
