BELOIT — Fans across the nation can watch Beloit’s riverbend ballpark be built in real time thanks to a new aerial camera installed in partnership between the Beloit Snappers and Corporate Contractors, Inc. construction company.
Located on the water tower overlooking the construction site, the camera provides a birds-eye view of the progress on the new stadium, which updated images appearing online every 15 minutes throughout the day.
Providing an overhead view from beyond centerfield at the future site of the stadium, the construction camera can be viewed at SnappersBaseball.com and also offers fans the ability to view time lapses of the construction over time and view snapshots from previous days.
The privately-funded stadium construction project is scheduled to be completed during the 2021 baseball season and the ballpark will serve as the home of Beloit’s professional baseball team as well as numerous community events throughout the year. With a capacity of over 3,500, a 360-degree walkable concourse, an indoor club level offering event space year-round, a playground, and artificial turf, the stadium will revolutionize the fan experience for baseball fans throughout the region while creating new opportunities for community events in downtown Beloit.
