RIDGEWAY/WIOTA — Shullsburg/Benton swept a twinbilling from Ridgeway, while Wiota split a doubleheader with Hollandale to tighten the race atop the Home Talent League Western Section South Division standings heading into the final week of the regular season.

The Fever (13-8 overall, 8-7 Sunday League) plated the game-winning runs in the ninth inning of both games to sweep a pair of games from the Cardinals (6-9) - 6-5 and 4-3 - in Ridgeway on Sunday, July 22.

The Indians (13-8, 9-6) dropped a 4-2 decision to the Rockies (2-12) in game one but posted a 7-1 win in game two to secure a split at Wiota Park on Sunday and hang on to a share of first-place in the South Division with Argyle (9-6) after their 5-4 win over Blanchardville (6-7) on Sunday.

Wiota and Argyle lead the South at 9-6 with the Fever right on their heels at 8-7. All three have secured playoff berths in the Western Section heading into their final regular season game, however the top two teams in the South will assure themselves home playoff games.
