FOREST CITY, Iowa — Monroe graduate and Viterbo freshman Drake Ingold was fourth in the North Star Athletic Association men’s cross country championship Nov. 8.

Ingold’s time of 26 minutes, 26.5 seconds in the sub-freezing and snow conditions qualified for the NAIA National Championship to be run Nov. 22-23 in Vancouver, Washington. He’ll be joined by teammate Sam Larson, who placed seventh (26:57.9). Both runners earned all-conference accolades with their runs.

Viterbo finished second out of the six teams that raced in the conference championship. It’s the program’s highest finish in over three years. Dakota State was the conference champion.
