baseball

PLATTEVILLE — Darlington graduate Hayden Hardyman was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team May 15.

Hardyman is a first baseman for UW-Platteville.

UW-Whitewater’s Cal Aldridge was the conference player of the year, while UW-La Crosse’s Zach Pronschinske was the pitcher of the year. UW-Whitewater coach John Vodenlich was named the league’s top coach, and Warhawk Mike Aiello was the Max Sparger Scholar Athlete for the 2019 season.

While the WIAC acknowledges All-Conference players for their play on the field, the All-Sportsmanship team is made up of one player per team that displayed exemplary sportsmanship during the regular season.
