13-week adult exercise program to begin Dec. 1

Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is offering sdult exercise classes taught by fitness instructor Shannan Kaiser that begin Dec. 1.

MONROE — The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is offering Total Body Fitness, an exercise program with Certified Fitness Instructor Shannan Kaiser. 

The program is designed to improve fitness and overall health. These high and low impact exercises focus on core, cardio and strength to develop endurance, improve cardiovascular ability and burn calories. Moderate to high intensity level with modifications are also available. 

This is an ongoing class which runs in 13-week sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 6:45 p.m. The next session begins Dec. 1 and goes through Feb. 25. The program is held at the Parks and Recreation Community Center and will be using social distancing. Participants are asked to wear face masks to class but may lower masks while exercising.  

This class is for adults 18 years or older with a session fee. Anyone interested may register in person at the Parks & Rec office, lower level of City Hall, weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., or online at monroewi.activityreg.com. For any questions call the office at 608-329-2460.
