MONROE - The U-12 Rebel Mustang girls opened their season with a 0-0 tie in Beaver Dam on Saturday, Sept. 10.
Emily Benzschawel had five saves in the first half, and Morgan Seffrood added three more in the second half.
Olivia Werth, Dani Larranga, Allison O'Brien and Anika Einbeck all had shots on goal.

Monroe lost its season opener, 4-2 at DeForest.
DeForest scored three goals in the first half.
Karlye Mazahreh-Disch had six saves in the first half, and teammate Cassie Gersbach had three for Monroe before halftime. Megan Benzschawel scored in the second half for Monroe, as did Anika Einbeck off an assist from Gersbach that made it 3-2. Mazahreh-Disch had eight saves in the second half and Benzschawel added seven.
