MONROE - The U-11 Rebel Mustang girls soccer team earned two shutout wins last weekend. Team netted a 4-0 victory over the Madison Strikers on Saturday and a 2-0 win over the Madison Rockets on Sunday.
On Saturday, Olivia Werth registered the first goal with a penalty kick. Morgan Seffrood was goalie the first half and had 3 saves. In the second half, Seffrood and Werth scored goals. The fourth goal of the game was from Alexa Bader, on an assist by Ally Einbeck. Emily Benzschawel, playing goalkeeper, had four saves.
On Sunday, Benzschawel scored followed by a goal by Einbeck on an assist by Kennedy Ludwig before the game was called because of lightning. Anna Latimer had two saves as goalie as play was mainly kept on the offensive side of the field by Sydney Mathiason, Aspen Bader, Samantha Ellefson, Werth, Heather Burkhalter and Benzschawel.
