COLUMBUS - The Sugar River girls soccer team, ranked fourth in Division 2 by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association, shutout Columbus 2-0 to clinch a share of the Capitol South Conference title.
Sugar River improved to 15-1-1, 6-0 Capitol South with two games left. Columbus and Cambridge-Deerfield are each 5-2 with one game left.
Sugar River senior Katie Viney scored at 2 minutes, 55 seconds on an assist from Mackenzie Christensen. Junior Trisha Boley scored on an assist from Hannah Kernen at 57:33 for an insurance goal for the Raiders.
