LAKE MILLS - Sugar River senior Brock Kelly scored three goals to power the Raiders to a 7-0 victory over Lakeside Lutheran Tuesday.
Sugar River (10-3-3, 4-0 Capitol Conference) erupted for five goals in the first half. Kelly scored his first goal on an assist from Jack Gentilli in the ninth minute.
Gentilli had two assists and one goal in the game. About three minutes later, Kelly scored his second goal. Kelly scored his third goal for the hat trick on a pass by Jared Widish in the 26th minute.
Kelly has 17 goals and seven assists this season. The 41 points by Kelly this year lead the team.
It marks the fourth straight win for Sugar River. The Raiders have won six of their past seven games and tied Monona Grove Sept. 9. The last game the Raiders have lost came to McFarland, 2-0, on Sept. 5.
The Raiders, who are averaging 2.75 goals per game, also got goals from Noah Niesen, Jaden Kreklow and Widish. The Raiders outshot Lakeside Lutheran 21-5.
Sugar River goalie Tyler Boeck had five saves.
"Sugar River did a great job of holding possession tonight," Sugar River coach Kyle Webber said. "The boys passed the ball around well and found a lot of nice through balls. It's a good conference win for the team."
