BELLEVILLE - Sugar River senior Dylan Hustad scored two goals to lead the Raiders boys soccer team to a 6-2 win over Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday.
With the win, Sugar River (14-3-1, 7-0-1 Capitol Conference) stayed tied with Lakeside Lutheran in the conference. The Raiders can clinch a share of the conference title with a win over Columbus on Thursday.
Hustad scored a goal at 22 minutes, 11 seconds to tie the game at 1. Sugar River's Andrew DeLorme scored a go-ahead goal at 33:12 to give the Raiders a 2-1 lead. Senior teammate Kevin Zimmerman scored a goal on an assist from Cory Hoven at 43:04 to give the Raiders a 3-1 lead at the half.
It didn't take the Raiders long to add to their lead. Sugar River senior Nehemiah Noriega scored a goal on a pass from Zimmerman at 61:28, and Hustad scored an unassisted goal moments later to give the Raiders a 5-1 lead.
Sugar River's Owen Medenwald capped the scoring with a goal in the 76th minute.
