VERONA - Monroe native Brent Quade struggled in the third and final round of the Wisconsin State Open at University Ridge on Wednesday and finished tied for 34th place.
The tournament was shortened to 54 holes after multiple delays due to severe weather.
Quade, a 2007 Monroe High School graduate, shot rounds of 67, 77 and 78 to finish at 6-over-par 222.
Brookfield's Kyle Henning claimed the title at 10-under 206 after firing a 70 in the final round. He edged Abram's Andy Buege by one stroke.
Kyle Bruce, a 2012 Monroe High School graduate, and Monroe's Mike Muranyi, a former golf pro at Monroe Country Club, both missed the cut after the second round was completed Wednesday morning.
Bruce shot two rounds of 76 and missed the cut, which was a 6-over, by two shots. Muranyi shot two rounds of 78.
