BELOIT - The Monroe boys hockey co-op lost a regional opener 12-0 to Beloit Memorial Tuesday at the Edwards Ice Arena.

Beloit Memorial's Jacob Benzing scored three goals for the hat trick and added three assists. Teammate Tyler Jensen had two goals.

Monroe goaltender Dan Guilliams had 42 saves.

The Monroe Avalanche finished the season 2-20. Beloit Memorial advances to play Janesville Thursday.
