POTOSI - Senior guard Collin Argue scored a game-high 25 points but his shot attempt as time expired was blocked and Potosi tipped the Orioles 45-44 on Thursday.
Trailing by one point with 27 seconds to go, Argyle coach Justin Jenson called a timeout to set up the final shot.
"We worked it around and got the ball to Collin," Jenson said. "He drove the baseline and got the shot we wanted. There was some contact, but no call and the shot was blocked. They knew where we were going with the ball."
Argyle (1-2) also got contributions from junior Brent Ritschard, who scored seven points, and senior Mitch Dammen, who had six points.
"It was a back-and-forth battle the whole way," Jenson said. "We are a young team, and we showed a lot of growth tonight. It's one of the cleanest high school games I have ever been a part of."

DARLINGTON - Darlington turned on the pressure and rolled over the Cubans.
The Redbirds, who built a 20-point halftime lead, went on a 34-0 run and outscored the Cubans 37-8 in the second half.
"It was a lot of pressure defense and fastbreak points," Darlington coach Tom Uppena said. "We just turned it up a notch in the second half."
Darlington senior Will Schwartz scored a game-high 25 points. Senior Trevor Johnson added 12 points, and senior Josh Soper chipped in eight points.
