Monticello - The Ponies knocked off Johnson Creek 42-33 Monday night in a non-conference game.
Becky Nelson scored a team-high 11 points for Monticello, and teammate Taylor Klitzke added nine.
The Ponies led 16-11 at halftime and 26-21 after three quarters. Monticello was 9 of 17 from the free-throw line and held Johnson Creek to just three total free throw attempts.
Monticello travels to Black Hawk on Thursday.
